False advertising with payment arrangement
My first impression of la Quinta was not good. On hotels.com I chose the option to pay at the location when I arrived. However I noticed that the hotel kept running my card to pay for the room MULTIPLE HOURS BEFORE I EVEN ARRIVED. Because my card wasn’t in travel mode yet, my card kept declining it. I noticed that the tried to run my card over three times. I called and explained that I did the option to pay at the hotel. The front desk staff said they don’t do that and I needed to pay now over the phone if they will give my room away. I had placed this trip months in advanced and was worried they were going to give my room away. I ended up giving my credit card number over the phone which made me very uncomfortable because of the lack of security this offers. I was not happy with doing this at all and honestly really gave me a bad impression with the la Quinta hotel chain.

Beautiful hotel and great staff. One issue bathroom light switch is not illuminated. Hard to find in the middle of the night. Otherwise, beautiful facility and staff.

Fantastic property except for the goofball fitness center hours. Why start at 8AM? For anyone that is going to Zion and needs to be there by 730, this makes the facility useless for the morning. That is a big reason we stayed in the first place. Would also be nice if they considered amenities with park travelers in mind. Water bottle filler in the lobby would be a great start.

Beyond Expectations
Clean, spacious, dog friendly room. Powerful shower, plenty of towels, soap dispensers instead of disposable containers. Full breakfast buffet with variety of choices including real eggs, sausage patties, waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, etc.
