This is a cute older motel. The rooms and the outside of the motel is currently being updated. The updated rooms are modern, with a pleasing ascetic. Unfortunately, we were not informed of the work that would be taking place during our stay. Our reservation was for 7 days, and in that 7 days we were unable to utilize the parking lot in front of our room twice (somewhat inconvenient-especially as the back parking lot became full as the week progressed). Due to ants in our room (twice), we did have to move to different rooms several times during the week too. (Not the motel's fault for the ants, most likely due to the work being done). As noted, all the staff was as accommodating as possible, but I did feel that there should have been better communication about the work/construction/parking situation if not when I made the reservation, at least upon check in the first day.

Originally thought about cancelling this reservation, so glad that I didn’t. Location was great, friendly staff, clean room and amenities. Surprisingly it was quiet being so close to highway and convenient parking in front of my room. Will definitely stay again .

The property really surprised us for a Motel. It was very clean and seemed renovated not long ago. It is located about 1/2-3/4 mile from downtown St. Helena. So walking was easy. After 25 years of visiting St. Helena and surrounding areas only to drive back to the Bay same day, we will be staying at this property moving forward. Price performance was spot on. Good value.

Great location. Super clean, comfortable, and decor was really nice. My only complaint is how noisy it was early in the morning, before 8am. The linen room was right next to my room, could hear staff talking, pushing carts. Noise also came from remodeling being done. And noise from other guests throw the walls.
