First time visiting the area. Upon check in we asked receptionist about some information of ferries to the island. Her response was that she doesn’t know anything about it. This is just poor management. Our room was located right by the staircase so it is very loud and quiet’s down around midnight and then it’s back to noise early in the morning. Room was spacious and seemed clean for the most part. Bathtub was all over hair and disgusting. Don’t count on breakfast as it only offers sugary cereal, bagels and blueberry/chocolate muffins. Also it is in their small office area so just grab and go.

The only complaint I had is that the air conditioning units were quite loud.....but you just put on your noise app on your phone, and it's fine.

This is a great, basic, not fancy clean motel. The location is great for the ferry to Mackinaw, just a few minutes from Shepler's dock. Thanks to the motel front desk staff for giving us good information about shuttles and getting the ferry to Mackinaw Island. DON"T pay 15.00 to park at Shepler's lot, call them and the nice shuttle will pick you up in minutes from this motel. Tip the driver, they are super nice. There is an excellent cafe for breakfast and lunch across the parking lot called the wild blueberry breakfast and bakery. Super short walk. We would definitely stay here again, especially for the price. Nice basic convenient place.
