I liked the balcony, and the big bed. I didn't like the fact that I could hear the people upstairs walking and the people nextdoor conversing thru the walls. And the private beach is useless unless you wear hiking boots, like the whole shoreline in that area of Michigan it's rocks and bigger rocks.

The room service was unsatisfactory. They did not wash floors or even make our bed(there was nothing of ours on the bed). The TV sucked. We could only get a station that was preaching the gospel to us. Internet was spotty. The cost for our Friday night was over $250. If I would have known that I would have stayed somewhere else.

Great location and staff. You can walk to many things including transportation to Mackinac Island. Short walk to restaurants ;shops ect ..Good continental breakfast. Staff very warm and friendly. Stayed two nights family of 5 (3 kids). Our room had two double beds and a twin which is much nicer than hotels that only have a pull-out sofa as the third bed. We did ask for new sheets for the twin though because there was a fair amount of long hair in them. Otherwise, the room was clean. The size of the room was cramped for 5. We enjoyed the balcony and watching the seagulls and geese. The pool was clean. Breakfast was decent (what we expected). Pleased to see a woman cleaning tables and regilling food. Free parking and within walking distance to the ferry for mackinac island. There's also a free shuttle to the ferry. Overall, good. Not fancy, but met our needs well and the staff were nice.
