The staff are amazing at this hotel. The breakfast was great and buffet with porridge/a range of cereals /fruit/yogurt etc. lovely bread too! We had a sea view and it was amazing looking over the beach and the small train . Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel team. Thank you x. We will come again soon. Ps bus stop right outside the hotel to many top places to visit. Train station a few yards away to Penzance, st Erth and more!
The bedroom window was hanging by a piece of metal and the blind was blowing in the wind as we couldnt close the window! 2 inch gap all around it!
The mattress was dreadful and the duvet was so thin we thought it was a sheet! Had to ask for extra blanket due to the wind blowing through! No sleep
at all! £90 per night is cheap, but that shouldnt mean it is filthy! Took some pics, unfortunateley cant upload them here!
Hallways and carpets filthy.
Kind and hospitable staff, a clean and tidy room. Food was reminiscent of home cooked breakfasts. I hope to return next year to enjoy the sights and sounds of st ives , and the ever welcoming atmosphere of this hotel
Rooms are dead cheap because the walls are dead thin and you can hear the zombies next door coughing and snoring loudly.

Location, Location, Location. Great area close to beach, but it’s a long way down to get on it. Very convenient for the train great way to explore Cornwall without a car. Hotel was ok, very dated. Carpet needs a scrub. Walls need a wipe. Windows inside should not have finger marks. Windows outside bird poop. Great view of sea & beech. Conclusion hotel is a great place sadly needs a makeover. Creaky floorboards from the people upstairs kept us awake.
Booked this as a last minute stopover.
Had everything we needed for the night.
Really comfy bed and had a great night sleep.
If you bringing your vehicle we would recommend you get there early and try to park at the Railway Station
Very convenient location, but parking can be tricky- especially at peak times.
Big plus- dog friendly
The hotel is quite dated inside. We did not eat there, we ate out. A great base if you like being out and about.
Our room was close to the lift so early morning and late in the evening, we could hear the comings and goings.
Tv and hairdryer in the room a bonus
Overall, good value for money.
Good value for money, but I would have rather spend more and sleep in a more comfortable bed.

Poor, tired hotel needs a refurb. I wouldn’t mind if it was a cheaper price but for this money it’s not acceptable.
Really good staff, not their fault but the chain that owns this lovely old hotel needs a wake up call.
Wonderful place to stay with a nice homely feel & stunning sea views. We loved our spacious room & watching the sea from the window while drinking tea ☺️☕️. All staff at the hotel are warm & friendly. St Ives is one of nicest places in the UK to visit for sure! & the beaches are beautiful. We will look forward to returning to this hotel. Thank you 🙋♀️
Me & my mum had a lovely time staying at this homely hotel with stunning sea views. Excellent location. Heated beautifully & cosy over the Christmas period & with lots of nice Christmas trees & decorations. Definitely somewhere we will look forward to returning to. Thank you very much 💕
