I made a last-minute booking at Royalton CHIC and was told during check-in that an employee would ensure the room was ready. The employee confirmed it was, but upon checking, I found the minibar empty and no soap in the bathroom. I called the front desk and politely asked for both. After 20 minutes, no one came. I called again—still nothing after another 20 minutes. After a third call and nearly an hour later, someone finally replenished the minibar and delivered soap.
While I appreciate that a manager later apologized and attempted to make amends, the overall experience did not reflect the standard I expected, especially from a resort of this caliber and price point. The basic expectation of a ready room and timely service was not met, and unfortunately, I regret choosing Royalton CHIC for this trip. This delay made us late for dinner and left a poor first impression.
The room should have been properly stocked and inspected before our arrival. I understand it was a last-minute booking, but that should not affect the level of service provided. I regret choosing Royalton CHIC for this stay, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve service standards for future guests.
