Clean hotel with good location however our room had small shower, hot water mostly in the morning for shower, tv channels are very limited also we could hear people walking, flushing toilets and hear them talking but we had clean room with nice bed and pillows

The hotel is in a great location in downtown St. John's a quick 2 blocks from the harbor. We were there in mid-October so the tourist season was definitely winding down. Streets were less noisy. Easy walks from major sites, local stores, restaurants and bars. The room was basic. Bed was comfortable. Walls and doors are thin. Steps to rooms are many and luggage will need to be carried up - no elevator. We dropped our bags with them because we were early, and they carried our luggage to our room before we returned - very nice. The room and walls show wear. The window AC unit had been removed and was stashed in the small closet area. Suitable for our needs.
Would highly recommend….I was travelling alone. …. Yet felt safe, easy parking and food was delicious at the restaurant. Seem like I had to wait awhile for my food ….. but staff very friendly.
The inn is a historic building that is very unique. There is a code to get in and the keys are left taped to the Room door. There is no elevator, so if you have large bags or suitcases, you will need to be able to carry them up the steep winding staircase. There is a shared bathroom on each floor. It is clean, but shows the age of the building. Location is ideal for visiting George Street.
Conveniently located and very friendly and helpful staff. Is in the thick of downtown so can be noisy at night especially on the weekend. Would stay again.
This very old property has always been a lodging house. The renovation is tasteful and beautiful. We were very comfortable. The area is rough - but it is right in the middle of the famous George and Water street. You can walk to the Battery District and view the harbour from a height.
Parking is easily handled by a municipal building across the street. We stayed for four nights and were surprised at how inexpensive it was.
Overall it was as described and what I expected. Except for the strong damp smell of mold. It did not feel healthy to be in the room at the top floor. There is an issue that must be addressed.
