We were there for a wedding at The Gypsy Tea Room. It was super convenient. Very basic Continental Breakfast but it did the job. I had asked for a room on the 1st floor because I didn't want to deal with stairs. I was told through an email they would try to accommodate. We ended up having to walk up stairs to get to our room. Also, while the jacuzzi tub is great, there were no grab bars! There's also a shallow step up to the tub. Very dangerous IMO. A friend had a handicap room & there were grab bars in their room. There should be grab bars in all the rooms. If you're hoping for a cot, they do not have them.
Staff was pleasant and location excellent. The rooms need some updating. The furniture placement is awkward, the bed is right next to the door to the hallway.
I booked the room in part because it had a beautiful big bathtub but we never got to use it because the plug was broken. We reported the problem and were told it would be fixed the next day but it wasn’t. Otherwise it was a lovely stay but that one detail was a disappointment.
We appreciated the move to a nicer, very spacious room with a view in a very quiet wing of the hotel. The hotel needs some upgrades…bed was very comfortable but the bedding was quite worn. The carpets need cleaning or replacing. That said, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The location was excellent and the parking a bonus.
We were there for a wedding at the Gypsy Tea room, so it was perfect. We stayed for five nights and were able to use the lobby breakfast room for our small group to gather in the morning and the evening, it was perfect.
We were able to easily walk out the door for shopping and good food. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
I have a few suggestions... there needs to be a grab bar or grab bars around the big shower/tubs... hard to get in and out even for younger folks. Also, my mattress was comfortable, but sagging, needs to be turned or replaced. All else great!!
