We were told it was unsafe to use their valet parking because it’s outside. There were also some strange tiles at the pool with symbols that looked like swastikas. Everything else was pretty good.

There were homeless outside of the propoerty; there were no assistance in carrying the luggages. Room service brought food uncovered from the kitchen to the 5th floor room, this was very unsafe and unclean. The bathroom did not look clean at all.

I had such high hopes for this hotel! It was mostly disappointing. The unpleasant experience started off with a phone call from the hotel at 3:30pm telling me they were switching our family of four to a bunk room - room with one double bed on bottom/twin bed on top. I kindly explained that would not work and that we had booked a luxury double queen 3 months ago and had already paid in full. They said okay and hung up. At check-in (they were not friendly or welcoming whatsoever), I asked about the room to confirm it was a double queen and they said they had us in a bunk room. We had to talk through the whole process again. They did not apologize or show any sort of concern for the situation. Then we get to our room and it’s GROSS. Hairs on the food, poop stains in the toilet, water/toothpaste stains on the sink mirror, no toilet paper, dental floss in the trash, etc. We were trying to get to the Cards game so I went back to the nicely share details of the room. They said they would clean it. Again, no apologies for the inconvenience. We came back at 11ish to a mildly better room, but at this point, were too tired to fuss. Notes: Valet is $50. I asked the lady at check-in if there were other options. She said there was self parking for $20 every 12 hours. It was only $27 for 24 hours so a much better option than valet. ;) Positive notes - coffee in the cafe was good! Decor is fun. We typically stay in the best hotels but this one missed the mark for us.

Had booked and paid for a 4 day stay for a business trip to St Louis. Arrived late the first night to be told that they had already deleted my booking and would only accommodate me if I paid them an additional $1400 for a new booking, which I declined to do. There were no issues with me or my booking apart from that I apparently arrived too late, even though they advertise 24 hour reception. The person at the desk then told me that I would at least receive a full refund, but the hotel actually ended up attempting to keep the full $800 I had paid them. It took 4 days to be able to get even a partial refund, and I’m still out hundreds of dollars for a stay that never happened. Plus the first night was absolutely miserable- I was told that the hotel wouldn’t let me stay there after it was already too late to book anywhere else, so I had to sit in the hotel lobby all night with my bags. The decorations are pretty though.

Beautiful hotel with onsite restaurant, bar and coffee/breakfast shop. Historic building in downtown St. Louis in walking distance to City Museum, soccer, hockey and baseball stadiums, union station. Very nice room with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We did not eat at restaurant but hostess, Meg, was very friendly. The bar was great - bartender was knowledgeable and attentive (young man). We enjoyed the parlor room with shuffleboard and pool table. Workout room was nice. Valet parking attendants were excellent and helped arrange golf cart service to Busch Stadium. Museum was between exhibits so we were unable to visit it on second floor. Breakfast shop food was okay and servers were not friendly. We would stay again.
