Kirkwood Comfort Caring Correctives Needed

Room was comfortable and clean. Front desk service was mixed reviews from friendly to not so friendly. Breakfast choices were good. The condition of the motel needs attention to maintenance details: back door not operational; front door doesn’t close all the way; just got the feeling they didn’t care about keeping the Bestwestern brand up to par.

Pros: Having a Chilli's restaurant attached, with a discount on your bill for staying at the hotel is very convenient! The room was clean and the lobby area was nicely decorated. Front office staff was very helpful and friendly. Lots of variety at breakfast. Cons: bed comfort wasn't the best - I kept falling into the middle. There's a blue light/glow outside on the patio that I couldn't see a way to shut off - you could see it on the sides of the curtains in the middle of the night. The pool was a great temp, but the 3ft+ side very quickly gets deeper once you're off the stairs - not good for little kids who aren't experienced swimmers. The bathroom sink and bathtub had a bit of rust on them. And no bathroom fan, which makes me wonder about potential mold. Only cable tv, but options to sign into streaming services were available. Overall - good hotel for the price.
