Overall ok stay. Nothing spectacular; room was clean but seems outdated. The biggest concern was the surrounding area. You can only do street parking or pay $50+/night for valet (and your vehicle will still only be out in the street)…which is the concern because when we arrived at night to check in, there were homeless or just general transient people everywhere. At least 50+ roaming the street or sleeping on the street. Maybe this is normal for St. Louis but it didn’t make me feel safe for my family or vehicle. All the people were gone by the morning, but it reminded me of driving through LA Skid Row at night.

Nice & Friendly staff, cleanliness was excellent and very spacious room with enmities. Complimentary breakfast was good but most of the things were almost finished at 9 am. Overall we enjoyed this stay.

There was plenty of things to do nearby and the location would be great if it weren’t for the very limited parking and you’d need to use their valet service ($55 per night before taxes, it was $115 for two nights after taxes) and there were a lot of homeless in the park right next to it. It generally felt unsafe to go out after dark. The staff was very friendly except for one valet driver who wasn’t nice to anyone. They need more than one valet driver at this location to accommodate 12 floors of guests. Otherwise it was a decent experience.

Parking garage was not available to park in unless you used valet. Had to find open parking on the street which has homeless (possible drug activity) in front of church directly next to hotel. Felt very unsafe and honestly I was afraid when leaving for the airport at 3:30 AM. All that said, hotel was clean and staff friendly.

From start to finish, our stay at this hotel checked every single box! The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and stocked with thoughtful details that made my stay extra comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I slept better than I have in weeks. The amenities were top-notch—everything from the excellent breakfast buffet to the efficiency style stocked room was well maintained and exceeded expectations. Location was perfect, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and local attractions, yet the hotel itself felt like a peaceful retreat. What stood out most was the consistency of service. Every interaction, whether with housekeeping, front desk, or dining staff, was met with genuine kindness and professionalism. It’s rare to find a place where every detail is so carefully thought through, but this hotel nailed it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this spot to anyone looking for a stay that’s comfortable, convenient, and truly memorable. We’ll definitely be back!
The building was actually the shell oil company. It’s a historic landmark that’s been beautifully restored.

Room was ok. Didn’t realize there was only valet parking for $55 a night or street parking which I did not feel comfortable in that deep of STL to park my brand new vehicle on the streets all night. Homeless people sleeping on the streets in front of it. Elevators didn’t work one morning and had to walk down flights of stairs with all my stuff. Ended up checking out a day early and went to another hotel.
