The staff was fantastic, even though the king size room had been all booked before I made the reservation for one, but that wasn't on them and I was able to get a double queen. The room was quiet and clean, only thing wrong was the shampoo was empty.

The hotel over all was very nice clean and comfortable. It was the perfect location for our visit. Close to where we needed to go It’s only draw back is the bathrooms are very small

Not what is advertised
The advertised picture was nothing like the outdated room that we stayed in. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The entire hotel needs a face lift. The front desk was professional and friendly. I would not have stayed there knowing the condition of the hotel and the surroundings. I wasn’t confident that my vehicle wasn’t going to get broke into.

Our room was spacious and clean, but had a funny odor (kind of like lots of cleaning products trying to cover up the smell of smoke) that we got used to fairly quickly. The beds were very comfortable, as was the bedding. The only real disappointment was the breakfast. My husband went down at 8:15 (it was scheduled to end at 9:00), and there was only one muffin and dry cereal. The rooms were great for the price, but we expected to be able to eat breakfast there.

Gabe and Pear Tree Inn are 10 out of 10
My girlfriend and I had a four day roadtrip from California to Illinois and The Pear Tree was the best hotel we stayed at. The front desk attendant Gabe was very knowledgeable and professional when checking us in and answering any questions we had. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for about a decade and was really impressed with Gabe and the hotel. Would stay here again if we ever have the chance to come back through town

Bed was uncomfortable. Charged $50 plus tax for 2 dogs, plus a refundable $50 deposit to be returned in a few days. Breakfast just ok, mostly continental style. Not worth the cost of the stay.
