Hugely overrated hotel
I have no idea how this hotel has such good reviews, the rooms are tiny, the air conditioning is like a jet taking off, the noise from the corridor is worse than any other hotel we have ever stopped at, due to the doors slamming and the hotel allowing large groups of guests who seem to be able to run around the hotel carefree.

Historical Gem
This is one of our two favorite hotels in St. Pete. The staff is friendly, professional and always remembers us. It's an older hotel, but it is a gem.

Nice older building right in downtown with plenty amenities between them and their other property right next door. Easy walk to our concert venue plus free parking at the hotel is a huge plus.

Other guests can make parking hard even with plenty of spaces, they park preventing easy use of the nice on-site parking lots. The other guests seemed to not understand that noises in the lobby carry easily and i was awoken by loud guests at 3 am a couple of nights. It is a beautifully preserved older art deco style building with a wonderful quirky vibe with steamer trunks converyed to nice dressers and night table. Staff was wonderful. The womat the front desk was always helpful and cheery. Great hotel.

We don't usually stay at 'boutique' hotels but thought we'd try this place. As others have said the rooms are small but it was fine. Bed was very comfortable. The only problem we had was street noise as our room was directly over the front entrance (rm 210) You can hear other guests walking in the room above and people slamming their doors late at night for some reason. I found it quite overpriced and probably wouldn't stay here again based on that. Staff was great, the bar has a solid selection of beers and it's a cool place to hang out at.
