The fact that the hotel is older, added to the charm of the place. Housekeeping did a good job on the room, although I didn't have a chance to interact with them during our stay. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff was very personable and had great hot food and plenty of variety of choice for the everyday breakfast. Breakfast area was large and that's nice to not be crammed together when eating breakfast. I enjoyed the fresh cold water and coffee that is available in the main area during most of the daytime hours. Though not oceanfront, this hotel is still a short drive to stores, local beaches and dining. I did not use the pool as we went to the beach and we're out at other places. But the pool area was clean.

Definitely staying here again next time we visit. The breakfast was top notch and everything was cooked fresh and to perfection. Only downside was the parking, but was able to find parking very close every night. Easily 5 stars every time

The hotel was very nice looking on the inside with all of the historic charm. Our room facilities were great, very comfy beds & pillows & the bathroom was quaint. I hate to be negative knowing what this area has been through in the last year, but we just couldn't get over the smell. It actually made us sick to our stomach. Unfortunately, that outweighed all of the other positives.

The staff was friendly, personable and service oriented. We enjoyed tea in the library and dessert out on the veranda. The rooms we clean and spacious. The location was perfect for a short drive to watch a beach sunset and also Kayak at Weedon Preserve. We had a wonderful family time.
