There was a power outage which left the hallways in complete blackness as well as the stairwells. I felt trapped. I tried unsuccessfully to call the hotel directly using my cell. Therefore, I was unable to request assistance to safely evacuate the hotel room and did not know what caused the power outage- zero communication. Also, there were ants on the floors, bathroom vanity, and sink.

We have stayed at The Edge during all our stays in Clearwater Beach since 2018 and found the hotel to be exceptional until this last stay. We booked two separate stays over the holidays. The first stay was a room that had a strange smell. The following morning, we inquired about the smell as it is a non-smoking hotel. It turned out a previous guests were having a pot party in the room and were evicted. They claimed they cleansed the room and let it air out. That obviously did not work. In fairness, they did offer to change our room, but we had already unpacked. A better solution would have been to check the room given the known issue before putting guests in it before the odor issue was resolved. The second stay we got a room where the room safe and air conditioning wasn't working. The problems were fixed, but still delayed our plans. The hotel is quickly showing its age with wear and tear that needs to be addressed. We are hoping routine maintenance and repairs are made to restore this hotel to a top destination in Clearwater Beach. All the staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating, especially the breakfast staff, Kathy and Enrique!

Los elevadores estan muy lejos de los cuartos. En los parkin. Pero dentro del hotel no hay. Para ir a la pisina, tenemos ue pasar todo el parkin para tomar el asensor. Todo lo demas de hotel, EXELENTE.

Vary low water pressure, they did not service the room, had to go to the front desk for bathroom tissue, no cable tv , just your own streaming service, door to balcony was broke. Had to go thru parking garage to get anywhere in the building. You are watched on what you have for breakfast, like you asking for too much

The property is dated with smelly old carpet in the rooms. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. There was a weird smell around the refrigerator and the room service tried to enter at 8:30 am when we were still asleep 😳. Parking is paid but in the same building which is convenient. Breakfast was disappointing, the usual cold continental fare.

We went for just a day. I love that u can check in early to use pool and parking garage, even if ur room isnt ready. Free breakfast helps too! The pool was amazing! Nice a warm :) . I will for sure come again.

The hotel room balcony door was unable to lock so if I had small children I would have had to get our room moved. The maid service knocked on our door each day around 8:30 am- 9 am which seemed early. The hotel was nice but elevators were slow and breakfast was lame. Ice machine was out of order the whole time. On a positive note the beds were comfy, room was clean and the location was nicely located for us. The Edge rooftop bar/restaurant had good food and a wonderful view. I wouldn’t stay there again but it was fine for a quick visit.
