Not What I Expected from a Marriott

I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Clearwater Beach on the 4th floor. Unfortunately, my experience was mixed. When entering the elevator, there was a strong unpleasant odor of humidity, which made a bad first impression. In the room, the air conditioning was disappointing — it didn’t cool properly and clearly lacked maintenance. On the positive side, the room itself was clean and in good condition, and overall, the rest of the hotel seemed well maintained. One thing I noticed is that the hotel advertises Spanish-speaking staff, but none of the front desk employees actually spoke Spanish — only English. This could be misleading for Spanish-speaking guests. On a brighter note, the valet parking staff was very friendly and professional. Just keep in mind there’s a $35 per night fee, which is automatically charged to your room. For me, this wasn’t really a problem, but it’s worth knowing in advance. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it needs better maintenance on the AC system and more accurate information regarding language support.

Location is perfect for beach lover, hotel provides great shuttle service to beach. Nathan and his colleagues provided excellent shuttle services during our stay. Walking distance to the pier 60. Hotel staff was great, Check in and check out process was super easy.
