I liked the suite we had and the hotel staff. I didn't love the breakfast, I wish it was a normal buffet style or at least a choice between sit down and buffet. It wasn't really free breakfast because you have to pay for tip/tax at a minimum. One of the elevators was down, which was inconvenient

Most rudest people I ever dealt with in my life at the front desk. Hotel was disgustingly dirty. I would never stay at this property ever again. Everything was outdated, dirty, and not well maintained on the service was probably the worst I’ve ever dealt with in the 53 years, I’ve been alive

The hotel staff were very helpful, but the hotel is not worth $300/night. At times both elevators were out of order. My key card stopped working multiple times. The “heated” pool was lukewarm at best. Jimmy’ restaurant was disappointing and I was served cold food twice. I understand that the hotel is under renovation, but there were trip hazards in the hallways.

Had I known about the property being renovated, I would not have booked. All the renovated quieter rooms on floor 6-9 were booked for other guests but not with third party like Expedia guests. Very dusty, dirty, and specially noisy and inconvenient to move around. The room was half done- no handles in all drawers. Very disappointed with the staff treatment. The receptionist was arrogant and she gave me the take it or leave it attitude.

Overall a lovely stay. Staff was incredibly professional, courteous and professional. The hotel room was very clean. They are undergoing renovations and still repairing from the double hurricanes, so not all amenities were available, but this is indicated on their site, so good transparency. Located very close to the beach (they are on the Bay, no private beach, just the pool), but the beach is a short walk away, and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. Would stay again when renovations are complete.

Great gateway

The service at the front desk was excellent, Brian attended to us and helped us. Guadalupe the housekeeper was very kind and helpful. The breakfasts at Jimmy's were very delicious.

Over priced horrible experience

The hotel is run down. The staff was rude and unpleasant. I prepaid for breakfast for two even though I was alone. They still charged me an extra 15.00 plus gratuity. The elevator was not working and I had to walk down from the 7th floor for breakfast in the morning.

Great view, awful condition.

Hotel is totally worn out and broken. First impression upon arriving in lobby, is hmnn, one broken elevator, worn out furniture and drab. Room was even worse; furniture is worn and scratched and drawers were broke, carpet is thread bare and wrinkled. The doors were damaged, bathroom fan/light did not work, towels were stiff and scratchy and windows were filthy. Restaurant/bar was even worse. Dirty, worn and broke. In bathroom one toilet and one sink were out of service. We were on the 6th floor, so the conditions can not be attributed to the recent hurricane. Bar service was good, but breakfast was almost un edible and service was slow. We pre-paid for three days of breakfast and skipped the last day due to the awful food, and went next door to the Opal Sands for breakfast. The food was excellent in a beautiful setting for less money than our prepaid at the Holiday Inn! For $300/night (water view was great) Plus resort fees! Most outdoor facilities not available due to recent hurricane and also off season, there are many better options near by. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, too bad the facilities are in such disrepair.
