Empty hotel, maybe 5 cars in the parking lot and I assume that includes the staff. At midnight I was woken up to screaming between a man and a woman that lasted around 10 minutes. They were fighting, so loud I almost called 911. Then I heard a third party told them to stop yelling I then her door slamming and then I heard the conversation continuing it was so loud I thought they were right outside of our door until I realized they had been checked into the room next to us. At midnight. An entire empty hotel and your staff chooses to put loud people in the room that has an adjoining door next to a sleeping family who checked in earlier that day. Absolutely unacceptable. Over 200 rooms and they chose to put us side by side I will never stay at this hotel again. I did call the front office to complain they came and told them to be quiet but I continued to hear them for the next hour talking loudly instead of screaming and fighting and I was awake almost all night. After showing up at the front desk absolutely exhausted with no sleep I demanded a refund. I did receive a refund and for that I am thankful but I still will never stay at this hotel again. Management should train the staff to never allow this to happen. Unacceptable.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!
We arrived 12 minutes before our 3PM check-in, and were told if we checked in then, there would be a $65 FEE! This was AFTER I stood there for 6 minutes while the girl was on the phone with what sounded like another unhappy customer. AFTER 3, when we did check in, the room’s AC was not working properly, the temperature never went below 74 degrees; the comforters on BOTH beds had stains on them that were NOT permanent stains, just hadn’t been cleaned, there were stains on some of the pillows as well. We were there for one night only, and even THAT was too long a stay. I will NEVER use this hotel again, and I’m seriously considering not using the Brand ever again.

We stayed for a night at the property. We found the room clean and spacious but has a mildewy smell ot it. AC working well and bathroom is spacious and clean. Location is easy drive to downtown and the beaches. Breakfast is basic and mediocre. I would stay here again if I just need an overnight stay.

Checkin scare
When i went to check in, another lady was ahead if me. Apparently, her reservation was cancelled by the hotel at 2:15am for being a "no show". This was over 12 hours before checkin. I started to get worried because an unusual thing happened to me. I got a text at 2:15am stating that my Discover card had just been charged for the room amount. I had opted to "pay at hotel". When it was my turn at the counter, the gentleman told me the same thing had happened to my reservation--no show. Fortunately, because I'd booked through Hotels.com, he was easily able to reinstate our reservation. Not so for the previous customer and about several others. La Quinta's computer system showed the hotel as full and he couldn't give a few others a room. I was going to include a photo of the text but the survey wouldn't let me.
