This was a terrifying place to stay. It looked like a place people get murdered at. Every part of the room was dilapidated. The comforter has burn marks on. We couldn’t get the gas stove light to turn off- making it seem like the gas was always on. You couldn’t pay me to shower in that shower.
The whole bathroom was disgusting. The soap rack was broken and pointy. The walls were partially patched but not well.
Everything was peeling/falling apart. The entire place smelled horrifically like cigarettes. It was overpowering. The pool (part of what convinced me to book) was closed.
My brother checked in around 8pm but I didn’t get in until after we got back from a concert around midnight. I was so horrified I spent a half hour on the phone with various hotel chains trying to see if there was any Availability for a room in the city.
There was also lots of yelling from other customers when we get back around midnight. It felt EXTREMELY UNSAFE.
I would NEVER stay there again. We considered sleeping in our cars but I’m not familiar with the area and didn’t know where would be safe to do so.
This property should NOT be listed on hotels.com
I have a video of the stove if you would like- please reach out via email
DON'T STAY HERE!!!
The only thing good thing to write about this property is the staff that checked me in. The room was beyond terrible. I don't think it would pass an inspection from code inspectors. The electric stove is a fire hazard. The badly patch walls to bugs in the bathroom. Lets not forget the stains in the furniture, sheets & towels. I know, the entire place needs a total rehab.
Get this...the other rooms in the town are being used by FEMA because of the hurricane. Because of this the going rate is $145.11 for one night. Highway Robbery... The owners should be held accountable and prosecuted.
I don't care if the tear this MF down and rebuild it..I won't be back!
Ok first hand the pics that I saw do not even come close and my overall stay was pleasant it was kinda Erie if you catch my drift the water runs out of the tub all night, stains all over bedding, marijuana smell over took me everywhere I went! I need to be clear again it was pleasant but not clean!!
The property was built in the 60's and has had minimal maintenance ever sense. Paint over paint over paint. Floor was dirty and had not been deep cleaned in quite some time. Room was not cleaned or straightened up by 5:00 PM when i arrived back at the room from work. Towels were still on the floor in the bathroom where I had left them. Bed was still not made up. I went to the office and found it locked. I could tell that there were two people in the office. I went around to the other door and knocked. No one answered. I then knocked constantly until they opened the door. I told them that the room had not been cleaned or straightened up and I would not be staying the second night. I gave them the room key and left the property. At over $150 per night... I think I could expect more!
The toilet was clogged the first time I used it. The bathtub was so filthy I could not take a shower. And I have taken showers at grey hound stations with my flip flops on. This was worse.
I arrived at waited 30 minutes but noone was around in the office. Ihad to contact hotels.com to get them to call and find the worker. The olace was very sketchy. Kids were looking in cars. A lady was drunk walking around looking for someone. There were obvious(smell) of drugs being done in s room across from the pool. A few lights were out. There was a sex worker by the front entrance. There was someone selling drugs in a car begind the building. It seemed lawless and wild. I could not stay as i was scared. I did not get a refund either. Stay away. Sleep in your car before you go here.
I stayed here because it was the only available room in a No-Evacuation zone in St Petersburg during Hurricane Milton.
I felt safe knowing I was in a cinderblock building and had to hope the 2019 roof work included proper wind strapping because I was on the second floor.
Unfortunately, the low reviews on the property are accurate. But, I am thankful for a place to stay during the storm. The two staff members I dealt with were very nice as well.

Disliked: Staff & service
I didn't get a room and had to walk the streets of St Petersburg in the middle of the night looking for somewhere to sleep.
The hotel is absolutely terrible. The office closes at 10pm and although they live at the hotel, they do not respond to check in. The outside is very run down and smells. A dump.
This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s obvious that the rooms had been smoked in for years and the “renovations “ consisted of painting over everything in the room with white paint. Newsflash, paint doesn’t cover the smell of cigarettes. And when I say they painted everything, I mean everything. Bathroom tiles, tub, windows, outlets were all painted white. Pretty sure most people staying at the hotel actually live there. It was not an enjoyable stay. Slapping a can of paint over nicotine covered walls and buying the cheapest of furniture they could find to make a room is what we got. We slept on top of the beds with our own pillows and blankets after we found a burned hole in one of the sheets. We will never stay there again and I don’t recon anyone else staying there either.
