We arrived Friday afternoon and we were so looking forward to seeing the facility. There was construction on the beach bar area, rocks in the beach so you couldn’t walk without shoes. Because of construction they only had one restaurant open that was restricted in times and menu. There were ants all over crawling into makeup brushes and personal items. Overall it was very good and I understand it is the slow season but I think there should have been more food/restaurant options or possibly even offering reciprocity to some local restaurants to include transportation as I spent a fortune on taxis. Furthermore, the construction should have been done more quickly even if that meant closing for a short period of time or not having guest rooms so close to the construction noise. I also found it a bit contradictory giving free bottles of water in the room yet charging for water at the restaurant. I understand it is an island and everything costs more but for the prices you charge for the food; water should have been no charge. The hotel staff were excellent and always willing to assist as needed. I do look forward to staying there again.
