We were a party of four, which included a child. The room was clean, however out of the five lights that poorly lit this room only three worked. We had no issue with our AC. The issue we had was we had no phone. The ice machine was broken on our floor. There was no laundry service because we were informed that the laundry room was out of service. This is what we were told by staff, none of the vending machines worked . We had to ask for extra towels every day, even after we would make our request at the desk. No one informed us that on Monday and Tuesdays that the only restaurant on the property was closed for the entire day. The manager would not even speak to us when we were expressing our concerns about lack of light and no working phone. We were informed that all the room phones on the property were not hooked up or working. They were just there for decoration purpose. The cost of my room was not $80 a night so the statement of you get what you pay for doesn’t count especially when it’s $215 a night and we were charged also for the child when the room states it holds for people.
I liked the closeness of town of Charlotte Amalie and walking distance.
Check in was 430p, so we toured around the island. We got there around 430 and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't until after 630ish and pushing to get the room. They said they were short staffed, mind you check in was 430p. It wasn't a great start.
Travelled to St. Thomas for a quick Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend on short notice - the Windward Passage was one of the last hotel type properties available. The grounds are largely under construction, to include the check-in area. The restaurant and bar have very limited hours that differ for each day of the week - we opted to go to other local restaurants instead. Rooms were not super clean, but safe during our stay. Minimal toiletries, towels, and other items provided in the room. A/C was able to keep up, no issues with room temp while we were there. Very noisy on the south side with highway that is heavily driven by large semi-trailers at all times of the day. Overall would not stay here again unless no other availability on the island.
The property had yellow running water. We had no working telephone to call for any services. The staff was rude and short with us , like we were being a bother when asking for things like cabs .
You get what you pay for. My first impression of this place was Motel 6. The exterior definitely doesn't give 3.5 star but the first room I was put in was pretty decent until I was told that I had to switch rooms because the general manager was coming? The next room I was put in was not as appealing as the first but it still had an ocean view as the front desk assured it would. The toilet was stopped up, the air conditioner was loud and didn't get cold, not to mention, no one ever came to clean my room the entire six days I was there. Needless to say, I personally wouldn't stay there again. The only few things I liked was that the parking for guest is free and that it's close to the airport, other than that, no bueno.
This property is centrally located, not too far from Public transportation, ferries, and a short car ride to the airport. You can walk to shopping and dining, although dining and Bar is located on property. They are upgrading which is nice. I will definitely stay here again and I have stayed several times before.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff, everyone from security front desk and housekeeping were friendly. The rooms are pretty standard. I didn’t get the room type I booked but I didn’t mind. Close to everything in town and local buses run regularly in front of hotel. For a cost effective, safe and clean. I would recommend.

The property is old and really needs some maintenance work. It has the opportunity to be a fantastic place. Staff was great except they need help in their restaurant
