Statement of Concern Regarding Non-Compliance with Connecticut’s Clean Indoor Air Act by Super 8 Stamford It has been observed that the Super 8 hotel located in Stamford, Connecticut, is in violation of the Connecticut Clean Indoor Air Act (Conn. Gen. Stat. § 19a-342), which prohibits smoking in outdoor areas within 25 feet of building entrances, operable windows, or air intake systems. Hotel guests are frequently seen smoking directly at the main entrance, where both adults and children regularly enter and exit the lobby. Furthermore, the property owner and/or operators appear to have made no reasonable efforts to ensure compliance with this statutory requirement. Notably, there are no visible signs posted to inform the public that smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of the building, as recommended by state guidelines. This lack of preventive measures contributes to ongoing violations and poses a potential health risk to guests and staff.

The room is very dated, tile in bathroom was broken and cracked. Floor was dirty, didn’t look like it had been vacuumed, there was milk sitting on entertainment center, probably just an oversight. Beds were clean and comfy. Safe was broken and barely hanging on the wall, ceiling was peeling, we traveled a few days, this was cheap but the most expensive one we stayed at, we stayed at Holiday Inn cheaper and it was beautiful. However I will say, the breakfast was great!
Milk was at room temperature, not sure how long it had been setting out.

the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. limited breakfast but things were clean and the food was good. interaction with the front desk staff was interesting and not exactly professional.... the elevator was an accumulation of trash and a cigarette butt which was interesting. overall, I payed for a clean place to stay and got it.
