We booked a King Bed room at a steep price so that we could attend Parents Day festivities. When we arrived for check in we were informed that our room “with two queen beds” and two other rooms were unavailable due to an issue with temperature control resulting in our room and the others to be 90 degrees plus. They then gave us as a choice between two other hotels that had availability. The one we choose did not have a vacancy after all. We ended up staying in Boalsburg, quite far from our original booking downtown State College. Things happen, which we understand, but we can’t help but feeling that we were oversold.
