We’ve stayed here twice recently (reserved months in advance and super cheap for dates that got much more expensive) for orientation and move in. The first time the antiseptic smell was so strong it gave us headaches and we left the door open to the hall for hours to have it air out. This time, we were on the second floor. Still an antiseptic smell, but less than first floor. However, mold in our bathroom, and the whole room was wet-water stain on the ceiling, carpet was wet to the point we couldn’t wear shoes, bed was damp. When we showered, it wet the whole bathroom floor even with the curtain liner. We’ve all felt crummy from the mold for days. Never, ever again.

Nasty smelling room!

The smell in our room was absolutely HORRIBLE! But we were so exhausted we just wanted to go to sleep. Our room smelled like someone had taken many jars of Vick's Vapor rub and coated everything! It was overwhelming. With move in weekend for Georgia Southern we had limited options. The staff was also rude and dismissive, like they couldn't be bothered to interact with guests. Very disappointing experience. My family is from Statesboro so we visit regularly. I will not be staying at Eagles Nest Inn again.

Staff was nice and welcoming. Bed was comfy and clean. The hotel as a whole really needs some TLC. Flooring and walls are damaged and dated making it appear uninviting. Hard water stains in the bathroom make it appear dirty. The location is so convenient to GSU, walking distance to the stadium. With some serious deep cleaning and updating, this place could be a gold mine.

Not pleased with our stay

Very limited parking, rooms were extremely dirty and mold can be seen in various locations. Apartment complex next door and you can easily hear the traffic outside from the road.

The property has damaged walls in the hallways. Once inside our room the flooring was missing sections, holes in the walls damaged furniture and mold in the bathtub. Requested to move rooms and the new room also had mold in the tub. Will never stay at this property again
