Top notch everything!

If I could give them 100 stars I would! We’ve stayed in private B&Bs, decades old inns, ancient castles and luxury hotels this trip and this one was by far the best! From the friendly hosts to the lovely decor to the peaceful surroundings, it was all great. The best showers we had the whole trip! And the breakfasts were absolutely top notch! Don’t hesitate to book this place!

This property needs an update. There is no air circulation in the room, no ac, no fan & the window opened maybe two inches. Our bathroom had no cold water in the shower & only scalding hot water. The directions say to turn on the cold (we had no cold water) & then to add hot water gradually. We were able to shower that night or in the morning. By the time I realized the shower situation it was too late to switch rooms, so we just went without. When I reported it the next morning at check out I was told they would look into it. That didn’t help me since the main purpose of my one night stay was to shower & sleep. I got maybe an hour of sleep that night. The neighbors next door were talking very loudly until they decided to be even louder being amorous. After that they seemed to pass out. I fell asleep briefly and was awakened by someone throwing up & the man throwing things around their room, shouting lots of obscenities, stomping around their room & out in the hallway, pounding on the door so hard it shook our bed & then he hit his partner. His partner was screaming & shouting & after he hit her (which I heard) she decided to leave. Except she didn’t really leave. She just went up and down the hall shouting about how he will never lay hands on her again & how there were children in the hotel. I had my daughter with me & she somehow slept through the whole debacle. The chaos went until after 3 am. I was told they had been removed -didn’t help us & wasn’t offered compensation.

Great value for money, spotlessly clean.

Single room was spotless, beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Great shower, products were an unexpected & lovely snelling surprise. Great value for money.

Check in was quick and efficient The room was very clean and well equipped but in the heatwave it was far too hot and stuffy and the window barely opened. Even using the fan provided (thankyou) on full blast it was too hot to sleep. Our evening meal was fantastic, as was breakfast and the service unparalleled We would return but to a different room

Lovely hotel with exceptional staff.

Our stay was excellent. All the staff are exceptional from the moment we arrived. From the reception staff, bar staff, restaurant staff & cleaners they all welcomed us. They always had a smile and treated us with respect. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious with a good selection. Although the hotel is close to a busy road it did not disturb us at all. The bed was comfortable. We will certainly be back. Thank you.

Very enjoyable overall experience

Bed very comfortable, good nights sleep. Breakfeast was good, bar food in evening was a little disappointing (would have given 5* if not for this), didnt try the main restaurant so can't comment. Service was friendly and welcoming. Lovely beer garden.

Very good value for money.

Plenty of safe free parking. Very good receptionist to check in. Very clean, well appointed room with very comfortable bed. Good breakfast, cooked to order. This is a family run hotel and they all try very hard to provide excellent service.
