An absolutely fabulous experience from start to finish. An unexpectedly great find. More like a boutique hotel than guest house. Room was larger than expected and very well appointed. Facilities were excellent, breakfast was fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Outstanding!! From the best friendliest check in to an amazing room. Loved the little touches in the room and everything has been thought of including bottle opener and wine glasses!! A 10/10
Very impressed with the attention to detail.
Offered a flask of milk at reception on arrival. Would definitely recommend for stopover for early Ferry crossing.
Stayed in the absolutely beautiful Gloucester Suite and one of our 2 top favourite accomodations of our entire 6.5 weeks holiday around UK and Ireland. Other accommodation providers could certainly learn a lot about what travellers want and need from these 2 friendly hosts. Unfortunately we only had 1 night here as we had to catch the early morning ferry to Belfast. Would love to come back and stay longer.
This is a very well run quality place to stay the staff and property were exceptional the whole experience was far more than we expected

When booking, we thought this was a little on the expensive side, for what is classed as a guest house, but as we were attending the oyster festival thought that may be why there was a premium. However, the overall quality of the place, including wonderful breakfast, fully warrants the price; it is excellent, better than some 4* hotels we have stayed in.
This was our 2nd stay at Rhins of Galloway and we wouldn't stay anywhere else the evening before a ferry crossing. It is a wonderful accommodation both in terms of the standard of the rooms and the welcome by the owners. Highly recommended.
Fantastic short stay on a business trip into Stranraer. Excellent service and attention to detail. Fresh milk provided on arrival. Very clear instructions provided throughout on how to use all the various facilities. I stayed in the garden suite which was spacious, comfortable and a great place to work from. Comfortable bed. TV in the bathroom! Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice. A real pleasure to stay here in great hospitality. Highly recommend 👍
This was a fantastic stay. The Rhins of Galloway is 3 miles from the ferry. Our ferry was running late. The owners assured us that we could check in even after 11pm. When we arrived they were happy and upbeat. They even had a flask of cold milk ready for us to have some tea.
The room was luxurious. We stayed in the suite which had 3 rooms. 1 bathroom 1 living room and 1 bedroom. The king sized bed was exactly what we needed. Most beds we slept on during our tour of the UK and Ireland were relatively stiff. Rhins came through with a soft but firm bed. The rooms were clean. Very clean.
As far as the normal "how do i: connect to wifi, lock the door, leave after hours and so on" questions...they have everything neatly written down on easy to read and understand cards. They have over 18 years of experience and have heard all the questions.
We were lucky enough to have breakfast included. They not only run the place, but they also are the head chefs!! My wife had a wonderful full breakfast and I had delightfully cooked over easy eggs and some bacon. It was hot and freshly cooked. They have a rather large menu for the operation they run. There was also continental items like fresh bread and fruit.
We loved the place.
The only thing I can think of as constructive criticism would be the shower was kind of odd, but we eventually figured it out. We don't have those kinds of showers in the states.
