Disappointing
We had planned to stay four nights but left after two because of lousy service and bad location. We had paid more than $1,000 in advance to stay at this place and thought it would not be too much to ask to have coffee brought up to the room in the morning (since there was no coffee maker). One of the very young women who seemed to be running the place said she would bring it at 7 a.m. but never did. My husband went down to ask about it at 7:30 but the young woman said she was "busy." We had a couple more similar misunderstandings and made arrangements to go elsewhere. It was very expensive -- of course we did not get any refund -- but we wanted to enjoy the last few days of our time in France. We also realized we made a huge mistake in staying on the outskirts of town rather than closer to the cathedral and the Petite France area. It might be OK if the weather had been good -- it is next to a beautiful park full of storks -- but it rained every day and was cold while we were there.

Nice boutique hotel about a km from Little France.
They have a lot of staff walking around in black suits and with big smiles. They try to be nice but in reality they speak poor English and they are poorly trained. The woman at the front desk couldn't even arrange a day tour of the city for us. Nice Hotel but incompetent staff.

Room was quite a bit smaller than displayed on the website if the website room even exists. Overly large bed was comfortable but took up 80% of the available floor space. Shower and bath were on one side of the room commode with miniature sink in a seperate room on the other. Two people couldn't pass at the foot of the bed.

Not a five star hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff. Need to point out that this is not a five star hotel. They don't have a restaurant (besides breakfast), no room service, pressing, shoe shine etc. If it was 4 star I would not be complaining.

Relax while doing business
Fantastic hotel just outside the city. Well kept and very boutique. The surrounding area is populated by embassies and lovely properties so very quiet at night. The hotel manager takes great pride in how things look and taste. The little treats on the bed were awesome and decor to match, clean, crisp and modern.

Great hip hotel in Strasbourg
Villa Novarina is a little off the beaten path - in the embassy section of Strasbourg - but close enough to all major sites. The staff could not have been more nicer or more helpful and the rooms are modern and gorgeous. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Excellent boutique hotel
Lovely fairly small, about 30 rooms I think, boutique hotel situated in a quiet area. Good first impression as we were greeted at the car and helped with luggage into hotel and up to room. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room was large with a comfortable bed and all the extras you would expect from a 5* establishment. There was a bath and separate shower which was amazing. We used the jacuzzi and steam room but not the pool as we didn't have time. Only downside was that there was no restaurant but staff very willing to book restaurant and taxi if required which we did on one day. However there are restaurants within walking distance, including a very special local french restaurant called Columbine.

Quaint art hotel on the edge of town
My mother and I booked a superior room - detailed as having two twin beds - however upon arriving late at the hotel were informed that there were no twin beds in the hotel. Therefore we were put in single rooms - however these really did not match up to superior rooms - which we ended up transferring to the following evening with a fantastic jacuzzi bath. The staff were very helpful during this and throughout our stay. We had the buffet breakfast one morning - whilst very expensive at 22 EURO per person, it was delicious and there are not any other dining options in the area. The pool are was nice and clean. The area whilst lovely being close to the Parc D'Orangerie is quite far out of town (20-30 min walk or 10EURO taxi to central Strasbourg). There are refreshments served if required - however note these are also expense e.g. pot of tea = 6 EURO. If your main aim is to be near the park and cycle/walk a lot the location is perfect and the hotel is charming (lots of art installations and Steiff toys) with very helpful friendly staff

A stop over in Strasbourg
Very friendly staff, clean pool. Room had all necessary comfort and was cool regardless of high heat wave. Only things that didnt work were most lights in bathroom and toilet.

Fortunately my booking through Expedia was not ref
Fortunately my booking through Expedia was not refundable thus I had no other option but to come to your hotel. After I booked my stay through Expedua I found out that the hotel is situated well outside the centre. This encouraged me to find anothee hotel but the booking was a non-refundable one. When I visited Villa Novarina for the first time I found out that it situated in a quite zone of Strasbourg but the services offered here are amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the use of the spa helped me relax a bit after a day at the Parliament. I would surely come and visit again soon!

Excellent hotel close to Council of Europe
In Strasbourg for meetings at the Council of Europe and the Villa Novarina is ideally located just a few minutes walk through the Orangerie park. Very happy indeed with the hotel and the room which was spacious, quiet, clean and very comfortable. All the staff without exception were very helpful and friendly. My only suggested area for improvement would be that the bathroom was a bit worn in places and breakfast quite expensive. But a minor point, and an excellent stay overall. I hope to be back again.

Boutique spa hotel
I was allowed to check in at 12.00, although the stated check-in time is 15.00. The staff could not have been more helpful to accommodate my needs after a long flight. The room was quiet and light with a jacuzzi bath and Italian shower and space to work. The wifi was instantaneous and password free. The hotel serves no lunch or dinner but the buffet breakfast is magnificent. The spa - sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, hamman - is clean and relaxing. The outdoor pool is heated.

Ideal for Council of Europe
The room was excellent and the ambience terrific. Not fatal but - would appreciate more english speaking TV stations on the satellite e.g. CNN, BBC TV. Very little hanging space for my suits. Breakfast is expensive and I picked up a coffee and a croissant down the road.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel is very clean, comfortable and beautiful. It's a little out of the city centre area, so you have to take a bus or two to get to the main attractions. However, it's only a 5 minute walk to Parc de l'Orangerie which is nice to visit no matter what the weather. It would be useful to have irons in bedrooms rather than have to go to the laundry room in the basement to iron your clothes.

Nice and close to the park
We had one of the regular traditional rooms and shared it with our one month old and one year old and it was surprisingly ok. The staff was beyond nice and helpful. Five minute walk to a huge park with restaurant, bowling alley and playground. 20 min walk to city center. Parking on street was no problem and my one year old had a blast in the pool.

Close to European Parliament and Council
Perfect location if you're in Strasbourg for work at the EU institutions. Room was very clean with a nice little balcony and the bed was comfy! I stayed there with my husband but would warn new couples; the toilet is separated from the bathroom (which is connected to the bedroom) only by a glass screen! My husband and I were both saying how embarrassing it would have been if this was our first weekend away together or if we had just started going out with each other. Breakfast hideously overpriced at 22 euros. If you're staying during the summer months you might want to avoid the top floor, since the attic windows made the room unbearably warm.

Go for the superior room
We went for the superior room which was huge - American visitors will appreciate the size is more like what they are used to than the typical European hotel room size! There were however NO tea or coffee making facilities in the room!! Given that I could not figure out how we were going to get 44 euro worth of value from breakfast (22 euros each) I really just wanted a cup of coffee to start the day on! The hotel is well situated to walk to the city centre in under 30 minutes but is a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle when you need it to be.
