Needs updating and no food available
This hotel is in the middle of major change and the guest experience suffers because of it. The restaurant was closed which meant we had to go out for breakfast. Staff shortages or cost cutting meant that if you stay more than one night, you have to request your room to be made up. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but need updating.

Had issues turning on heat, there was no thermostat and there was a sign on the vent that said do not touch. Tried to call the front desk that night but got no answer. The room was very, very cold and in the morning when checking out was told to either lift the lid on the vent or there was a thermostat on the wall. When I mentioned the do not touch sign I was just told there was a thermostat on the wall then. There was not, we checked multiple times as it was freezing. The room we stayed in was a little older and worn looking but clean and things were comfortable. Drainage in the bathroom sink was a little rough. There does seem to be some dairy facilities fairly close by as at certain times when we were outside of the hotel it smelled of manure. It wasn’t something you could smell inside the rooms though.

The staff was very polite, and courteous. The room however was dirty. The washroom had hair, and somekind of dried fluid running down the wall.

While the bed was comfortable, the bathroom grout was tired and dirty. The exercise room had only 20 pound weights, and was locked when I went to use it. Small details which, if corrected, would make a big difference to the overall impression.

The property is definitely past is peek, but it still shows its former upscale bones. Rooms are decently updated and the pricing was fair. Only real gripe was that there was zero breakfast option, which seems crazy in this day and age. Also, our room windows were right by one of the rear entrances, which proved to be a real annoyance as it was an area where people congregated to smoke cigarettes and talk loudly, in one case at 1:30am waking us up. Given the hotel was not full, I would suggest to the hotel staff not to put guests in that room unless they have no other options.

Everything was great about this hotel clean, comfortable beds) except we were close to the exercise room and when someone got on the treadmill we could hear thump, thump in our room. It woke me up at 7:30 in the morning. I would suggest that the exercise room be moved away from the bedrooms. We were in 108. I'd stay there again but would ask for a room away from the exercise room.

Hotel is very tired. Bathroom smelt musty. Paper behind toilet was peeling with visible water damage and you could hear water dripping behind the wall. Entrance was supposed to need a key card to open but it was not functional

The property is outdated. Keys did not work initially. Check in clerk initially stated I did not have two rooms booked which was incorrect. I presented my drivers license and visa upon request and she insisted my visa was a debit card and not a visa (again untrue). Very unimpressed with the propound the staff. Will not return.

The property is dated and needs a refresh. There is one section of the property that is only 10 years old that we moved to in our second day which was a lot more pleasant. The first night we stayed in a room that smelled like mold or musty and the carpeting has not been changed it seemed like for decades. The second room is a lot more updated it was brighter and clean I would definitely recommend requesting a room in that section of the hotel.
