I had read many reviews of the property and saw that some of the more recent showed improvement over time. I did not feel like the property "sparkled". Our room was cramped (Romeo and Juliet) while it was "en suite", the shower was next to the bed. with the sink and toilet across the room. We could not lower window or close blinds so were unable to control nighttime lighting. Several people had complained because no breakfast, so we didn't expect any, but were pleasantly surprised to find tea and coffee, some bread items and a bit of yogurt which was enough for us. We decided the property is just too big to manage without full-time on site management.

This charming historic inn is located close to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Stratford and just a couple of blocks away from the Avon theatre. The manager was there helping us with our bags when we checked in and again when we were leaving. I was very happy with my beautiful 4 poster bed, nice linens, etc. We'll be back.

The hotel keepers were friendly and helpful. We were able to leave the car in the lot after our check out which was convenient for us. The inn is very well located to the shops and restaurants, as well as the Shakespeare Gardens.

The room was very pretty, with a comfortable bed. A great location, walkable to restaurants, shops & the theatre. The screens on our room did not fit the window so we had both stink bugs and flies to deal with.

This quaint Inn, built in 1873, has character and charm. It is very welcoming. The only difficulty was parking, which was limited in the back, but the manager allowed parking on the grass in the front, so all was OK in the end. Otherwise, the grounds were very pleasant.
