Nice hotel but

The hotel grounds are lovely. The room however did have a very pungent smell. Couldn’t put my finger or what it was but it wasn’t pleasant.

Room was ok, bed very clean however, there was all black marks over the bathroom ceiling. Sofa was very worn and didn't look clean. Very basic facilities in the room. The rooms were absolutely freezing. The bathroom was also freezing. Heated towel rack in the bathrooms and heater in the bedroom but they were never on and no way to put them on. Bedding was 2 sleeping bags zipped together and could feel zips on our face through the quilt cover. Staff were ok and polite not much conversation though. Had breakfast and that was really nice. Wasn't cheap sausage etc. So really enjoyed it. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Not many staff around. Overall it was ok but i think for what we paid for 1 night it could have been better especially some heating.

Quite nice place to stay. The personal were all very nice, great breakfast. The pub is nice, you can drink your likes next to the fire places in the winter time. Was a nice experience.

Great hotel and stay.

Friendly helpful staff on arrival. Even walked us to our rooms. Slight issue that testing not working but heater provided so no dramas. But, water cold on final morning so chilly showers. Bar excellent and food great at breakfast and evening meal. Bar staff brilliant, friendly helpful and made us feel very welcome. Overall a great hotel and stay, thanks.
