Upon arrival we were told that our reservation had been canceled (but no one cared to let us know ahead of time) because "the credit card was declined": this does not make sense given that (1) payment was supposed to be made at the hotel and (2) we booked the stay with Expedia. Even more suspicious, the attendant told us that we should book directly with the hotel instead of through Expedia. This was on December 31st and finding another accommodation on New Year's Eve was not possible. We strongly recommend against booking there. In fact, this inn should be removed from Expedia listings.
