Not nice gym

This was our third time staying at this resort because we’ve always enjoyed it. The room was very clean, and the housekeeping staff was excellent—very friendly, professional, and attentive. However, the bar experience was disappointing. The beach bar wasn’t open during our stay, which was a big disappointment. The main bar also had issues with its system being down, and the staff seemed confused most of the time. I asked about the status of my order, and the bartender simply looked at me, said they didn’t have my order, then turned away and ignored me. The order arrived about five minutes later, making the whole situation even more confusing. For a 5-star resort, I expected a much higher level of service. Hopefully, these issues will be improved because we’ve always enjoyed staying here.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. I will write a detailed review on trip advisor but on the whole there were positives but also a few negatives. Unless you are up at the crack of dawn and become one of 'those' people who reserve sunbeds then you have no chance of sitting by the pool. Luckily the beach, although small, is pleasant. The hotel ran out of pool towels everyday which was very annoying. I found the staff to be a mixture, some were rude and unhelpful, others were lovely and couldn't do enough. There was a vast choice at breakfast and also a menu to order from which I thought was a nice touch. There was a good selection at lunch and the evening menu was also good. The food was excellent. The location is just a 10 minute walk to Trogir but there is no proper footpath, you have to walk along a busy road which is unsafe and I wouldn't recommend with small children or pushchairs. Our room was small and had ants in the bathroom. I couldn't work out where they were coming from but they were everywhere. Drinking glasses were never changed, the shower floor was never cleaned and it was hit and miss as to whether we received flannels to wash our face or not.

The air conditioned room was life saving due to the heat wave affecting Split while I was visiting. The terrace had an incredible view of the Old Town and was wonderful to sit on at sunset when it was cooled down outside. The bedroom and bathroom I had was very spacious as well. I would definitely stay here again if I visited Split in the future!
