Friendly staff and comfortable room. Quiet location and nice views of the water meadows and mill pond with its ducks and swans. Convenient for the town.

Situated in a picturesque spot in central Sudbury, The Mill is an attractive and welcoming building and our party was mostly satisfied with our stay. 3 in one room meant we had to use (and expected to) the pull out bed which turned out to be very uncomfortable and not the cleanest. I got the short straw and preferred to sleep with the cushions on the floor. Otherwise room was fine. Breakfast busy but also satisfactory if not sensational.
The facilities at The Mill are looking just a tad tired and Im sure it wont be long before its owners will need to update / refresh aspects of the place.
Staff friendly and polite. Lots of steep stairs!! (To our part of the hotel in any case)
We were so excited to stay at this property. It was clean and staff friendly but for the price charged they need to up the maintenance. Great location for walks and a log fire bar. 19 mind walk to town so great location.
Amazing place. Really friendly staff. Great cocktails and food on offer. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Would definitely recommend.
Staff did their best but there were large queues for the bar and staff struggled to find clean glasses and tables were not cleared. Breakfast was very average with tea and coffee running out and not replenished and staff not noticing, the same with milk and juices, cups and teaspoons. A classic case of owners trying to run a busy hotel with the minimum number of staff and little attention to detail.
