The customer service was excellent- from the arrival to the departure every person we spoke to was extremely helpful and kind. The rooms were huge and spacious- our party of 4 really only needed one room if we knew the size but had two rooms and it was ample space. The location was great, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The rooms are charming and beds comfortable (although soft). Would recommend and stay here again.

Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was excellent. Small older rooms with renovated bathrooms. We just used the rooms to sleep in and spent most of our time sightseeing. But when back we spent lots of time relaxing in the large and comfortable reception area.

A traditional Danish hotel, catering for the Danish market. Staff are superb - very friendly, cannot do too much to make you welcome, cope with late orders to the restaurant, always willing to help. Not cheap but excellent value for money. A bit quaint by UK standards but very clean and well presented. If you want to stay in Svendborg, stay here!

Great location but poor quality of rooms

The hotel is nice with tons of rooms but the rooms are very dated. Don't let the pics deceive you (I was tricked). The hotel lobby and breakfast lounge are nice. The hotel location is great. The parking can be challenging based on how busy they are but it's free so can't complain. The hotel room, decor, and bedding were dated. The shower was barely enough to stand.

This property is as expected an old building. The bathrooms for each room are unsafe as the shower floods the entire bathroom. Very nice breakfast that had fresh fruit and lots of nice choices. We booked a queen bed room and were given the worst room in the place with a small double bed. Bed mattress is very old and very uncomfortable. When I inquired about what we booked vs the room assignment, I was told no room’s available. Despite the fact that paid for a bigger bed. I can not recommend this place. I honestly think the hotels give lesser rooms to folks that booked through a third party company.

Et sted vi gerne kommer til igen. Morgenmad var rigtig god og der var det der skulle være og mere til og personalet var virkelig hjælpsom og ingen sure miner. Det eneste man skal være opmærksom på at gangbesværede har ikke mulighed for at kunne komme til værelser, ihvertfald det værelse vi havde fået tildelt. Dog er det et godt sted, hvis man skal på en Byferie og ikke vil bruge bilen.

Skøn restaurant lige ud til færgen mod Ærø. God menu og med lokale specialiteter som f.eks. lokale øl. Der var lidt støj fra færgen/biler om morgenen. Bag hotellet kan man parkere og hotellet opkræver 50,- for dette, men på pladsen må man gerne parkere gratis (se skiltning). Der er mulighed for opladning af elbil.

Fik værelse 53 i en bagbygning uden mulighed for at lukke det skærende lygtelys gennem "pynteruden" i døren ude, med larm fra køleskabet (som vi slukkede), elendige senge, ingen skabsmulighed og et mini- bade"værelse" med et gulv, der blev oversvømmet, så snart man tændte for bruseren. Vi har før boet på Ærø og været tilfredse - så undgå bagbygningen!
