Lovely stay, perfect for our holiday to Swanage. The hotel was a very nice building, with lots of fascination with a lovely garden. The staff were all very pleasant, as was our room and breakfast. A perfect stay, thank you.

We had a lovely room with a splendid view. Helpful cheerful staff. Would benefit from a lift; our room was on the top floor and my wife is arthritic. Breakfast was rather aversge.

This is a stone built listed property of beautiful design and resembles a small castle. It is a unique hotel of a past era but but strangly attractive and very interesting. For its age it is in very good condition and beautifully turned out and decorated in the turn of the 1930 styling. We very much enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful and of beautiful character. We felt very much at ease and one of the family. Overall a lovely period hotel staffed by dedicated people only 5 mins from the beach. We would stay there again. Trevor and Deb's

Had room 4. It was very spacious overlooking the garden. Lovely. Unfortunately the bed not quite to our liking but still acceptable for a weekend stay and the room made up for it. Very central so ideal for walks, shopping and site seeing places close by

A lovely well-kept property with character and charm. Despite a lovely large room, it still felt super cosy. Gorgeous sea views, perfect location for a quick walk into town. Book book book.

A lovely place to stay

The setting and location of the hotel is amazing. A lot of work has gone into renovating and maintaining the place to be a great, relaxing holiday destination. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and positive with a great level of customer service. My room was decently sized for just myself. I found it to be a great place when I just wanted some time to relax and read a book. My only tiny bit of criticism with the room I stayed in particularly was that there were cobwebs around the ceiling light and on part of the ceiling. I can appreciate the ceilings are pretty high, though, so they may be tricky to clean often. Definitely not a deal breaker in any stretch of the imagination. Breakfast both days of my stay were to a high quality. The options for food were also vast which is great. Service on the Monday morning when there was a menu instead of the buffet was met with speedy but good service. It’s nice that the quality of the food wasn’t compromised on at all to make it quicker getting to me.

Kept awake in purbeck

Room was cold plugged in a little radiator but not better reported it to reception he said hotel heating had been off a week during Xmas bed quilt was thin I was kept awake most of the night in room 8 as there was a fridge running all night i told reception in morning she said she would tell the manager I heard Louisa Anna lodge is ment to be better to stay in more modern
