I really hate leaving bad reviews but in this case I really cant leave anything other. We stayed here for two nights as a bit of a break from our week long camping trip, honestly would have been more luxurious staying in our van! The hotel needs a huge amount of updating but not only that, the room was filthy. Black mould everywhere in the shower, weird gunk in the plug hole (I dread to think what that was) and a strong musky smell in the room.
The location is good and the breakfast staff were working hard when obviously up against it as I think it’s usually a buffet, so a bit of a change for them and busier than usual.
Overall I would not return, unfortunately the cleanliness was a huge issue and whole place needs a revamp

Stayed for a week its a great location. Despite reading reviews about cooked breakfast not being available we had a lovely surprise to find it was and the breakfast staff were amazing couldnt have looked after us better.
However, the hotel website is misleading. The lady that checked us in couldn't wait to get back to her friends in the bar only telling us that our room was 'that way' not that it was up the stairs behind us. Generally the part of the hotel we saw is very tired with wall trims peeling off, mould growing on bathroom sealant and carpets fraying at edges. If you like soft beds where you can feel all the springs then you'll be ok. Having said that it was very clean although the only nod to the Covid19 advice seemed to be a few pots of hand sanitizer, not always in obvious places.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a double room with a sea view and it was a bit small mainly because there was only space to hang a few clothes and nowhere really to put suitcases. The road was quite busy but quietened down early in the night. There are only a few parking spaces in front of the hotel and getting one is difficult so parking in the car park opposite is used at £6 for a day (8:00 to 23:00). Table in the bay window gives good views of the bay and good restaurants nearby.
Even though difficult times for the trade felt that the hotel lacked a lot of TLC.
The en-suite patio hadn’t been cared or tended for in months I suspect.
No cooked breakfast, still advertising that they do one, and fully understand why they are not doing it but the substitute continental breakfast of bottle of juice and a croissant only on first morning was a shock.
They did supply more items on subsequent morning.
I am sure it must improve as, hopefully, we leave lockdown.
I stayed for one night. I had a sea view room on the first floor. The room was a good size with an en-suite bedroom.
The bed was comfy and the room was quite a good size.
It's a great location in the centre of the Mumbles promenade. It's between the pier and the shops so nothing is particularly far away.
