Great location! We could hop the train or walk to just about everything. Very friendly staff who acted very fast to resolve any issues we had. They allowed us to check our baggage for free until our room was ready so we could make the most of our first day in Sydney.

This is a favourite Hotel of mine. Older style, rooms are small, but you are in the middle of the CBD. The new METRO is quite close, and Town Hall station is very close as well. The Light Rail also runs along George St.

This is our 4th time we have been to your hotel and have no reason to find another in Sydney. We enjoyed the beauty of the old building, yet well kept, your staff is always amazing and we drink lots of coffee and housekeeping or front desk always accommodated. We have stayed with family and shared your hotel with our Hawaii friends.

I liked the location of the hotel. Very central. One minor issue that I had with the room was that there was no milk provided for coffee when I arrived in the evening. Luckily, I had brought some extra milk from home with me so was able to make a cup of coffee when I woke up in the morning.

The hteol was fabulous as was the staff - 1940s decor, even hard wood nightstands. However, and this was NOT the hotel's fault. lots of construction going on outside, in front of and down the street. It made it hard for Uber pick-up and drop off.

I recently stayed at this hotel and while I was happy with the service and the quick check-in, the hotel itself is quite old and things didn’t work as expected. The air conditioning had no heating option, and the bathroom had no working exhaust fan. The lifts were also very slow, and we weren’t informed by the front desk that we needed to use our key to access our floor, which was frustrating to figure out on our own. That said, the stay was generally comfortable and the location is great, but it’s not one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, nor will it be my first choice when visiting downtown again.

Loved the Art Deco vibe, helpful staff, clean amenities. I also love the fact you can open the window, for fresh air instead of using the air-conditioning. Area adjacent to property is being renovated/re built so it is currently a bit noisy. I expect thst will settle as the works are completed. Its certainly not enough to put us off from staying at the Castlereagh again.
