I stayed at a motel located in the middle of one of Sydney’s best beaches, Cronulla, priced at $165 per night. Staying at a motel by the ocean sounded like a great idea.
However, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The key card did not work, so I had to return to the office. The staff member on duty tried to open the room but was unable to. The card had to be reprogrammed, which took about 15 minutes.
The bedside lamps were not working. The staff had to change the light bulbs and bring extension cords from the office.
In the shower, there were used soap and shampoo left by the previous guest, which is completely unacceptable and unhygienic.
The shower taps were positioned very low, almost at floor level, supposedly for convenience.
The bed, mattress, pillows, and carpet smelled strongly of dampness and mold, making it impossible to sleep. As a result, I arrived at work exhausted, angry, and sleep-deprived.
Due to these serious issues and the unacceptable condition of the room, I am requesting a refund for this stay.
