Don’t let the association with Best Western mislead you!!! The property looks fair from the outside but inside is different. Oh, where to begin? The checkin was likely the best part of the experience. The beds aren’t especially good, the ceiling has been repaired and looks dodgy. The towels are so thin, mildew on the plastic shower curtain. No coffee in the room, no kettle or a tea bag. Fridge worked and has a large freezer. Breakfast— the chafing dish wasn’t turned on or something as the eggs, hot dogs (yes- hot dogs) and potatoes wedges were cold. So there was at least cereal, muffins and yogurt and coffee. We booked through Expedia, should have just walked up in person to examine the room. But after hours travelling we wanted to have a place to just get into. The front desk staff were at least receptive and apologized for our experience. They brought out a person, maybe the manager; no introduction given. After discussing the situation , she was not willing to give any resolution. We really don’t have much recourse but will be reaching out to Best Weatern and NS Health.

I arrived at 10:00 pm and there were men on the front porch smoking heavily. First room I was assigned had mold in the bathroom. Second room had sticky bathroom floors and dirty blankets. Both were on the bottom floor. I asked to be switched again and was told it would be 30 minutes to clean another room and the TV won’t work.The third room I entered on the main floor seemed clean enough. Blankets and pillows were very thin. Noises from people upstairs could be heard all night. I checked out at 6:00 AM and asked the front desk if something can be done about the rigamaroll I was put through. Staff replied “I’m just a random night worker I can’t give discounts.”

This room was very spartan and not very nice even for the price of $169. This is end of October and beginning of off season .. other hotels were the same price. Should have shopped around. Being a best western we were surprised. It needs a reno or charge less. TV did not come easily .. needs instructions.

Don't stay here. Worst place ever. Full of insects and vermin. The staff are awful. I'd rather sleep in a dumpster than visit this place. Avoid at all cost. The place should be shut down and demolished.

Apparently due to an issue in kitchen, we arrived to no food, coffee, plates or mugs. Very disappointed...however, an effort was made for all who were there for breakfast and coffee and fresh food came after a 15 minute wait. There were just 2 bath towels , one hand towel and 3 wash clothes for 3 women! Bed was comfortable room was clean. Staff were very nice.

Barely any breakfast options. Our bathroom door would not close. They were supposed to fix it, they didn’t. Also when booking, I specifically booked a room with a sofa bed as we are a family of 5. Our room did not have a sofa bed. Someone was supposed to get back to us on that. Never heard back from anyone. The stairway smelled extremely bad. The room looks like they were painted by toddlers. Fridge handle was falling off. Our beds were not made, rooms not cleaned. We were there for two nights

Definitely the worst experience in the last 20 years of travel. The guy on reception (Amir? Amit?) was really good - but that was the only good thing in there. The place is old, trushy and smells terrible. They try to renew some surfaces but so far it doesn't help. Miserable bed, tiny room and primitive breakfast - all for the price of good budget hotel. Housekeeping forgot to give us shower towels (I had to walk to the receiption: phone doesn't work, too). It was my mistake. Don't do that.
