I could not wait to leave

My first impression stepping out of the lift to our floor was housing commission tower block meets the Shining. The room was fine, small but a good lay out. Beds clean and comfortable, bath towels very fluffy. But I didn’t want my feet or clothes to touch the floor, or use in room cups etc. It wasn’t dirty exactly, the place had an ick vibe from lack of maintenance and attention to detail. Our window didn’t seal properly or had no sound proofing. So constant noise from out side. I had a terrible sleep. Made the next day harder, Which cancels out the whole reason for staying at the airport to wake up rested for onward travel. Staff were nice. The hallways floors in desperate need of steam clean. The down stairs kitchen and bar were lively.

Bus shuttle to and from the hotel was well organized, but this was probably the bus company more than it was the hotel. The entrance to the hotel is messy and disorganized. the floors around the elevators and passages were really dirty. Bedroom was small bathroom clean.

Property is reasonably well situated, we found little dining options in immediate area, There were rats running around outside the main entrance at daybreak. We felt the bed may not have been changed as pillows had a mens cologne odour.

On the internet it says food available 24/7 and when I got in at 11.30 pm the reception says it’s no longer available. That’s fine but take it off the net otherwise I would have stayed somewhere with food as I got in late.
