Good stay at the Meriton
Finishing a cruise that ended in Sydney Australia,we stayed at the Meriton Hotel for three nights. Location is good to get around the city and the Chinatown area is a very vibrant and interesting area to stay. The tram line was just around the corner and taxi and uber cars were right on the Campbell street for easy pickip,or drop off. Room was nice and the washer/ dryer in the room was nice,since we did have some dirty clothes to wash after coming off a 31 day cruise,where we purposefully waited that last week to use the washer/ dryer instead of fighting for use on the cruise ship. Nice stay at the hotel,would recommend this hotel for a stay in Sydney.

The property overall was okay but the bathroom was a big disappointment. The shower accessibility was poor and cumbersome as you couldn’t lay out an exit mat until you fully opened the swinging door. There was no grab bar and dangerous to properly clean your feet. The grate in the middle of the bathroom floor was not secured so if you stepped on it, it would stick to your foot

Renovations going on all day, not warned prior!
Renovation work, was really loud on 18th floor, moved to 26th floor but still was very distracting, had to use nc headphones to do my work! Wasn't advised of this prior, and despite stating I had important work to do the alternative room was slightly better but still distracting. If I was informed I would have switched hotels.

The suites are nice but the staff need to refresh themselves on the rules and regulations berating my friend and I for taking photos and videos by the pool and gym because they thought it was for ‘commercial use’. I will add no one else was in those areas and if they were then we would have stopped. We shouldn’t have to have a yelling match with staff that don’t know the rules.

Property very handy to tranport links, it was clean and very spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The property has great facilties with a pool and gym with good machines and weights. Right in the heart of china town and close to the convention and entertainment centre. Price was very reasonable. Will certainly stay there again

First time staying here in a king deluxe studio suite. Modern furnishings, clean & quiet on level 14. Very comfortable bed & wonderful king size pillows. Highly recommend staying here. Check-in/out was quick & efficient.
