The room and bathroom was outdated and 2 big single beds on a small surface made difficult to move. The beds were not done properly despite having the room cleaned everyday. The breakfast buffet was ok-ish. I would not recommend it if you expect a 4 stars hotel, as it was advertised at the time we booked the hotel.

Centrally located near Train station and Light Rail and Restaurants. Comfortable room with good range of toiletries. Breakfast was not included but good value at $25. Would recommend and stay again

I stayed at the Metro Marlow 3 different times over the past month, in a different room each time. I like the convenience of this hotel — easy, quick walk to the train station and trams (making it super easy to get to the airport, harbours, etc.), and walking distance to some very good restaurants in Surry Hills (I recommend Pellegrino 2000, Gilda’s, and Les Copains). And I found the rooms large, clean, and fairly comfortable. And I like it that there’s a small, rooftop pool. But, the WiFi was a problem: the first time I stayed, no problem at all; the second time, the WiFi was slow and a bit glitchy (trying to stream a show, it kept stopping to load); and the third time, the WiFi didn’t work in the room at all. I had to go out into the hallway to get a signal. I complained to the staff, but they said if I got a signal in the hallway, it normally “holds” when you go back in the room. This wasn’t true, at least not in my room. Their own TV system kept changing servers to Dye and Durham, a business nearby, and asking me to login. I had to turn the TV off and back on to get it to reconnect with the hotel’s own server. Anyway, if you need good, reliable WiFi this may not be the place for you, or insist on a room change if the WiFi in your room doesn’t work. Other than that, this is a reasonably priced, friendly, and very convenient hotel.

Location - fantastic. Easy walking distance to Darling Harbour, the city, Hyde Park, 2 stations, World Square. Directly opposite the Capitol Theatre. I felt very safe walking around the area. Hotel - nice clean spacious room, Helpful staff. Great facilities including optional buffet breakfast which was excellent. The only possible downside was the noise drifting up from Pitt Street in the early evening from the young backpackers who congregated in the vicinity. But it didn’t bother us and it had quietened down when we went to bed. This was on the weekend.

Fantastic!
Pleasant stay, conveniently located as it’s close to everything (central station, light rail, George St., supermarket, food and restaurants etc) If you’re a church goer, St Peter Julian Catholic Church is just 5minutes walk away! They provided a portable wifi device which is so convenient if you’re from overseas! House-keeping is excellent, but hotel management should consider upgrading the carpets, though. Overall experience is very good

Great hotel but DO NOT USE TAXIS
Great hotel with convenient location. DO NOT USE TAXI's to or from the airport as they will rip you off!! Uber will cost around $30 in non-peak times where as a taxi tried to sting me $85 for a ridiculous unnecessary detour, another tired to sting my colleague $70 and when talking to reception they said a taxi was trying to charge the fair per person for some tourists who didn't know better. Other than that the hotel is great!

Really not the best room, very old sofa bed, missing springs around the edges, sat on it and nearly fell through. Hair in the bath. Curtains old and turning black. And what looked like drink splash marks on the walls. 4 people but only 3 glasses, 3 cups and 2 spoons.
