It’s a great location, a lovely property with good rooms and it’s cheaper than staying in the city. Try and avoid the 3rd floor, which is where guests with dogs are put - it’s a bit yappy when their owners are out! The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit hit and miss if you check in late. If you’re staying on a weekend, the breakfast is worth buying when you check in as North Sydney has no good cafe options on weekends.

We returned to The View after staying last year as it has such wonderful views and is near eady transport into the city. The food for dinner and breakfast is always excellent and it has a lovely dining and bar area. We did think though that the hotel could do with some refreshing in some area, we stayed on level 9 this year and the corridor was looking very grubby....definitely in need of painting and new carpets. The staff were a friendly and should we return to Sydney this hotel would be our place of choice. NB There is some noise from the railway line which runs underneath the hotel....this does not go on all night but you can hear the trains passing underneath....request a higher floor were the noise isn't as noticeable.
