Wouldn’t stay again. Positives - close to central station, room was clean/tidy. Negatives - photos on site look a lot nicer, needs some love, went to use the gym and it was as hot as a sauna/couldn’t use, ordered the most expensive beef burgers we have ever had and by far the worst tasting. Over $60 for 2 basic burgers. One wasn’t cooked/the pattie was raw and had to be re made. Very small menu too.

This hotel perfectly met out needs for a short 4-night visit to Sydney...it was spacious, clean, and staff service was good and courteous. Location was good as well.

5 Night stay - to explore Sydney

We arrived at the hotel overnight early morning. Luckily the reception lady checked and our room was ready very early. We were so grateful. After some rest we settled into our room. The room was spacious and we had two queen beds. My daughter and me said how comfortable the beds are. There’s a kettle & fridge in the room, safe and ironing board. A good hairdryer too even with a nozzle which I use. The bathroom is spacious. Around the bath the tiling is a little tired looking. The shower is good. Sustainably we opted to have our room refreshed every other day and spoke with the cleaners. We did have breakfast on one day which was ok. We used the bar one night but there was limited comfy seating near the bar and it was slightly busy. We found the staff very friendly and approachable. Location we were unsure if we had chosen the right area. However we feel that we actually explored more walking in different directions and using the tram and the Big Bus service. It’s close to the tram and train and bus station. Paddy’s market is a few mins walk then onto China town, and Darling Harbour area. We would recommend this hotel and great value for money.

Great reception staff

The hotel reception staff were excellent. We were supposed to have a 50 aud food and beverage voucher through hotel.com but this didn’t materialise. Not the fault of the hotel. Reception gave us early check in which was great. Unfortunately the room on the 15th floor was very tired and needed a refurb. I did ask to change rooms as had seen a room on the 8th floor which was totally different bright and fresh. The hotel were very busy so could not accommodate us. We have been travelling around Australia for a month and this is the worst room we have stayed in.

Fantastic service as we arrived super early after an overnight flight and they went out of their way to accommodate us and get our room ready early. Staff are super friendly and the rooms lovely and clean with the beds being very comfortable. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I was a bit worried staying here after reading about people's issues with the bed. In my opinion the ends are great. I also enjoyed the fact they provided full size fluffy bath towels. Everything was clean and great. The best part, by far, however, is the staff in the restaurant and the cleaning staff. They're all super friendly and helpful.

Misrepresented and unimpressed.

I feel the property was not accurately described and misrepresented. The hotel had a musty odor throughout-our hallway carpet on our floor had a huge puddle of water stain. The hallway walls and doors were all damaged and in need of paint. Hotel floors had zero decor or appeal. Very basic hotel. Our room had zero toilet paper in it. We killed a bug in the room just before our decision to leave the property. The neighborhood was also slightly rough.

Great location easy walk to Darling and Sydney harbours. Staff polite and helpful, rooms clean and spacious. Local restaurants and bars. Downside would like reduced car parking as hotel guest, hand rail by bath/shower and disappointed restaurant closed Sunday and Mondays. Generally would recommend.

Amazing hotel

Stayed over new year, all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very nice and the bed was very soft and comfy. The pool area was small but big enough considering people were not always using it, it also had a little jacuzzi style bath. The location has to be the key reason for booking, ideally located near central station, which is the hub for all travel in and out the city. Near by metros Chinatown and Haymarket for runs down to the city also. The hotel has amazing food spots all around it, I recommend market city for close shopping, all branded shops at the top!

Surprise hotel in the city

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly and the beds were really comfortable. The only negative for us was the cost for parking in the adjacent parking station, it would have been wonderful to get a discount during our stay
