All the staff friendly, helpful and polite. Extra thank you to zing son of the owner who went the extra mile to drive us to our ship so we didn’t need to drag our bags. Really grateful and a lovely young man…

expected a lot more for a $300 room. top floor but only a pokey window. tv mounted on side of room which made it pretty pointless.
We stayed at The Lord last year (2023) and couldn’t wait to return again this year. The rooms aren’t glamorous, but comfortable. The wonderful staff, beer and food options won’t disappoint. The pub fare is delicious and the fine dining restaurant sublime. The neighborhood is historic and very interesting and walkable.
Loved how convenient the property was to the bridge, Opera House, and dock area. Also the atmosphere of the area.
Lovely being in such a unique, old building but the stairs up to the fourth floor were very difficult especially with all our luggage. We did not realize this when we booked. Maybe this should be pointed out in the advertising. Thankfully we organized staff to take our main luggage down at night but we were somewhat concerned about its safety.
Property was quite good, satisfied our need to be close to the cruise ship terminal, just an easy walk down the hill. Was a little hike to the third floor accommodation with your luggage, however staff did offer to assist. Overall a nice little affordable place to stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We were so excited about staying at this famous hotel, but we were really disappointed. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling, badly worn carpet leading from the bathroom to the sleeping area, tiny tv, etc. it was fine for a night, but I can’t imagine staying any longer. The pub area was busy and atmospheric, but the rooms upstairs could do with an overhaul. The staff we dealt with were lovely, though.
