This is a cute and charming place to stay. Clean and quiet. Walking distance to great shopping, restaurants, sporting precinct but without the price tag. I would recommend and will definitely stay again.

The wife and I stayed for a night so that we could attend a Fringe Festival event. From the moment we arrived until we left we had nothing but friendliness and great service in a gorgeous heritage home. The feel of the hotel is kind of old worldly. There’s a fire and sumptuous leather couches to sink into whilst enjoying a glass of wine, a cuppa or bite to eat from the onsite cafe. The room was beautiful and clean with double glazed windows so there was little to no external noise offering us undisturbed sleep. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Bottom line here is this will now be our ‘go to’ for accommodation in Sydney from here on in based on the warmth of the staff, how accessible it is to everything and the very reasonable prices (not to mention that they are also dog friendly!!). Thanks again for our lovely stay. 👌

I’ve been coming to the Hughendon for years and always enjoy it. But the hotel is becoming run down and in need of new carpet especially. I understand an application has been made to build new accommodation while retaining the old central building. Hopefully the old portion will recieve some love and care if this new development goes ahead.

Friendly staff & great service. The hotel is a bit run down and there was a terrible smell (we couldn't get rid of) in the ensuite. Smelt like sewage. Pet friendly with free wi-fi. Breakfast included which was a treat. Pricey for what is was.
