Don't stay in Bankstown, but hotel room is good.
Really mixed stay. The staff member at check in was great. The hotel room was pretty good with quite a comfortable bed and good amenities. Parking was free. The downside... The hotel is on top of a big complex of restaurants, which seems like a good idea. There were limited affordable options and even fewer gluten free ones. Good vego options, though. We were constantly hounded when walking back and forth from the carpark (which can be quite a distance depending on when you arrive) for proof that you are a hotel guest. Also, my husband stepped into the lift which had an inch of fresh vomit covering the floor. I assume that someone was sick because of the downstairs drinking? The area itself is really not family friendly (wish I had known this before booking). My family saw a woman pull another out the car by her hair, a homeless woman get pushed around and two men fighting. In the space of 24 hours. We won't be staying in Bankstown ever again.
