If your looking for a family stay on a budget, with breakfast, then this is the place for you. Don't have any high expectations. The pools are the best thing about the location and the keep it well maintained. Great location in the city. The building and the rooms were a bit old fashioned and can do with some TLC. The eating area can do with some table cloths and some love as well. The staff was polite and helpful. They offered us a better room. Good WiFi.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very boutique like, however based on the price I would recommend additional items to be placed in the room e.g. drinking glass etc. however it was a very peaceful and quiet area and ideal for getaway and to rock back.

Absolutely magical how lace, full or nature and awe. Highly recommend for the nature lover and relaxation

Family of Nine Left Stranded Outside in the Dark An extremely distressing experience. I booked Flowers of Joy Wellness Villa through Hotels.com for nine family members, including my elderly mother and four children aged 7–14. The host called on check-in day and I confirmed arrival between 5–6 pm. Check-in was advertised until 9 pm. At 6:06 pm, I WhatsApped to say we were almost there; the message was delivered. We arrived at 6:20 pm, but repeated calls went unanswered. At 6:24 pm, I messaged that we were at the gate. Again, the message was delivered. I continued calling until 6:43 pm with no response. As darkness fell, nine of us were stranded outside a locked compound. My elderly mother became distressed, while the children were tired and hungry. This was not simply poor service—it was now a serious safety concern. Hotels.com spent approximately 1 hour 40 minutes finding emergency accommodation for nine people on a Friday evening. Thankfully, Kapok Hotel accommodated us around 8 pm and was outstanding. The host finally called around 8:30 pm, stating his phone had died. Regardless, our arrival had been confirmed and we arrived within the advertised check-in period. I strongly caution families, particularly those travelling with children or elderly relatives. Huge thanks to Hotels.com and Kapok Hotel for coming to our rescue.

Best place for the price

I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience and, in particular, the way my family and I were treated by the hotel management Nekeisha who is rude, dismissive, unprofessional and lacks empathy. I traveled to Trinidad and Tobago with my family because we were there to attend a funeral. This was already an extremely difficult and emotional time for us. After returning to the hotel on Friday , August 28, we were shocked to discover that our belongings had been packed up and removed from our room. I had stayed at this hotel for three nights and believed I had successfully updated my reservation to reflect a check-in date of Wednesday, August 26 and a check-out date of Friday, August 29. I did not arrive and check in until approximately 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26. There appears to have been an issue or misunderstanding with my reservation. However, rather than contacting me to clarify the situation, the hotel packed up all of my family’s belongings and moved them into a storage room without notifying me or obtaining my permission. Our belongings included refrigerated food, non-refrigerated food, medications, valuables, clothing, and other personal property. There was also a delay before our belongings were returned. Imagine traveling to another country for a funeral, returning to the hotel after an already emotional and difficult day, and discovering that you and your family have essentially been put out on the street with your belongings.
