The hotel has a convenient location but the facility is Shockley outdated. The AC in the lobby and the rooms didn’t work which is unbelievable for a so called 5 star hotel. The lobby and hallway are extremely hot. The room stays warm over night. That’s really hard to deal with in Taichung’s weather. Not acceptable for this level of hotel

Splendor is definitely one of the better hotel in this part of Taichung. Ideally located, and offering all the amenities in the same building, this hotel is an excellent choice.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Splendor and would stay again. The hotel is in a great location, close to shopping and restaurants. It's also a short walk to the botanical gardens. Our room was very clean. It's an older hotel so a bit shabby in places. Scuff marks on the walls for example. Also the beds are very hard, but I was told this is typical in that area. Overall a lovely stay though.
