My overall experience with this property is Great. There was just one mishap - they checked me in at the wrong room and asked me to move the next day. They put me in their deluxe balcony room instead of their regular balcony room. It was no big deal but still an inconvenience. I appreciated the meal vouchers and the restaurant options - all were delicious!

This ‘double room with balcony’ was very small, the lumpy bed was wedged between walls, there was no closet or hand towels, no 110v outlet, there was a foul odor, there was poor lighting and chipped paint, and overall quality was very poor. We left immediately to stay in a much nicer hotel nearby.

Had a great one-night stay at Meander1948. Staff was very flexible and communicative with luggage storage and check-in, the amenities and property were as clean as they can be in the older building, and the hostel environment is fun and energetic. Would stay here again on a return trip to Taipei.

Booked a private room with balcony. Sink is outside of bathroom which is mildly inconvenient, and they do not give extra towels upon request. No iron in room. Breakfast is not in hotel but vouchers are given, which is inconvenient but does let you try local cuisine. Close to Main Station, but still takes a decent walk to get to the actual trains, as the station is very large. Mainly a hostel for backpackers, so do not expect hotel service. Still quite clean and safe, and staff do try to be helpful.
